Information we collect
COBAN may collect account details, business contact information, authentication data, workspace membership, role assignments, product activity, support communications, billing references without payment card details, and technical logs.
When customers configure crawls, imports, dashboards, or reports, COBAN processes submitted business data and public social media content as instructed by the customer. This may include profile names, page names, post content, engagement metrics, media references, timestamps, campaign labels, brand taxonomy, and analysis outputs.
COBAN may collect device, browser, IP address, session, error, performance, and security-event data to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide COBAN, authenticate users, manage workspaces, operate dashboards, run ingestion and curation workflows, generate reports, provide support, improve product quality, prevent abuse, secure systems, and communicate about service updates.
We may use aggregated or de-identified usage data to improve reliability, benchmark feature adoption, measure system health, and prioritize product development.
Legal bases and customer instructions
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, COBAN may process personal information to perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or with consent where required.
For customer-controlled workspace data, COBAN generally acts on customer instructions. Customers are responsible for choosing lawful sources, defining purposes, responding to data-subject requests when they control the data, and providing required notices to their users or clients.
Cookies and analytics
COBAN may use essential cookies or similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, security, preferences, and product operation.
COBAN may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand traffic, page performance, feature usage, and errors. If non-essential cookies are introduced, COBAN will provide appropriate notice or consent controls where required.
Sharing and sub-processors
COBAN does not sell personal information. We may share information with infrastructure, database, hosting, analytics, model, monitoring, communication, and support providers that help deliver the service.
We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or support a merger, acquisition, financing, or corporate transaction.
Customer workspace data is not shared with other customers except as directed by the customer, permitted by contract, required by law, or processed in aggregated or de-identified form.
International transfers
COBAN and its providers may process information in countries different from where users or customers are located. When required, COBAN uses contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Retention and deletion
COBAN retains information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support backup or disaster-recovery processes.
Customer workspace data can be deleted or exported according to product capabilities, written agreements, and operational backup lifecycles. Deletion from backups may occur on delayed schedules according to normal retention cycles.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent for personal information. Some requests may be limited by security, legal, contractual, or customer-instruction requirements.
If your information is controlled by a COBAN customer, COBAN may refer your request to that customer or process it only under that customer's instructions.
Children and sensitive data
COBAN is designed for business users and is not intended for children. Customers should not submit sensitive personal information unless a written agreement permits it and appropriate safeguards are in place.
